My new guitar...

Question about vintage gear? Wondering how to apply that new scale you are learning? This is the place for all things guitar.

SWEET!!! :rawk: Man, that is pretty! Congrats on the new addition, MP. IIRC you are doing some recording sessions at present? Any plans to implement the 335 into said recordings?

What Splitting Hare said! Beautiful guitar and I'm hoping you plan on using it in a recording or two. Would love to hear it!

I like to plug a power strip into itself. The current loop generates infinite free electricity!
I've come up with a solution that I honestly think works out best for one of both of us.

Nice!! If I ever get a 335, it will be that color!

I finished up my guitar parts over the weekend. I used the 335 for one solo. I would have used it more, but we tune down a half-step and I didn't like the way the 335 felt when I dropped the tuning. It really wants to be played at concert pitch.

I recently agreed to participate in Black Crowes tribute band, and I'm thinking the 335 will be my main axe for that project.

Black Crowes tribute band......now that should be cool!! 335 will be perfect for that!

I can appreciate that. Now, if it's primarily a matter of feel and string-tension, you might try some 11's on there, tuned-down a half-step; you might like that a lot. May I suggest a DR Pure Blues .011" - .050". set, tuned down a half-step. These strings are S0O0O0O0 GOOD on Les Pauls, ES-335's, and such Gibsony dual-humbucker axes of that scale-length... !

Hell, I was just amused at the idea of a Black Crowes "tribute" band! :D

Let us know how that works out. ;)
