I use my own server for hosting images so I'm not sure what's being used out there, right now. One idea is to upload the image to something like Twitter, then grab the link to that image and use it for posting.

Photobucket has slowly and steadly gone down hill for years. First it was the acceleration of obtrusive pop up adds and videos. Now, they want your money directly. Essentially they suckered folks into posting their images on their site, and now will hold those images for hostage.......practically.

I'm downloading images, and posting as Craig mentions, and will likely find another alternative to PB. I'm not particularly interested in being held hostage by those bastards!
