The German government has asked it's people to stop using IE and switch to an alternate browser, after security issues became public.

It's just a matter of time before we start hearing about it on our side of the pond.

If you are using IE, I'd recommend switching to Firefox, Opera, Chrome etc. (Personally, I recommend Firefox), at the very least, until this issue is fixed.

They had also advised against using Chrome not long after it came out. I don't know if that advice is still in effect.

That must be why IT at work updated us all to IE7 all of the sudden. (And they have the admin login on each box, so it's not like I could install FF if I wanted to.)

I wouldn't know about your work#s IT guys, but the problem apparently extends to IE7 and IE8... :P
