Click on the link below at my signature for either song to play on the right of the screen;
These are the full versions of these songs and they can be downloaded;
In Memory of Elizabeth Reed – 10:48; I'm playing the lead part at the beginning of the song, and then sharing lead guitar throughout with my brother Gary; he does all of the second lead break after the Hammond B3 solo; Gary did all the arranging of the songs in our band.
Dreams I’ll Never See – 8.03. Brother Gary singing lead; I'm playing lead guitar at the beginning on Electra X340 utilizing MPC Flanger, then Gary plays lead, then we both share lead guitar parts to the end.
These live recordings are from the first time that my brother Gary and I, or Kinetic Energy for that matter, had performed together – anywhere – and we played on a live TV show – 2 complete sets (10 songs) - which resulted in 1.1 hours of recorded music time.
My younger brother Gary Smith was a well known blues musician in Des Moines Iowa; sadly he passed away from cancer last year on Oct 1, 2007 at the age of 55.
He is playing the Gibson 335 in these pics: http://www.rivercityamps.com/electra/RCSblues.php
Thanks for listening,
